Old Kent Road
This project comprises a 267 unit PBSA scheme with 3200 sq ft of retail space on the ground floor. JAW collaborated with structural engineers and architects to select building materials that offer lower embodied carbon and higher recycled content, significantly reducing the carbon footprint associated with concrete, as well as prioritizing the use of components with high levels of recycled content.
We successfully achieved an overall recycled content of around 40% across all building materials, focusing on resource efficiency and the circular economy principles.
Using material optioneering practice, we managed to keep the whole life cycle carbon emissions below the Greater London Authority’s aspirational benchmark.

Avonmouth House

Ilderton Road
The development at Ilderton Road consists of a mixed use PBSA, residential and commercial scheme, which was GLA referable. JAW were appointed to provide energy assessments, life cycle assessment and thermal comfort modeling for both the residential and PBSA blocks. We also undertook the BREEAM assessment. We worked on the project from the planning stages to completion, ensuring planning permission was granted and all requirements were delivered. This project was completed in 2023.
