Bagel Island, Hackney Wick
The development at Bagel Island consists of 4 mixed-use developments with 960sqm, 2,300sqm, 2,500sqm and 600sqm commercial space respectively. JAW were appointed by Aitch Group to provide EPCs for both the commercial and retail units, and as the BREEAM Assessor for Post Construction Stage of the BREEAM Assessment, consulting with the client and contractor to ensure the development achieved the Very Good rating required.

This large project involves the construction of 189 residential units and over 2000m2 of commercial space, on a brownfield site. JAW Sustainability provided a sustainability and energy reports for planning, developed a full energy and overheating strategy incorporating community heating and also provided BREEAM consultancy and reporting.

1 Frances Street, Woolwich
The proposed development at 1 Frances Street is a mixed use redevelopment comprising the refurbishment of an existing 208 m2 public house and new build development to provide a total of 19 residential units.
JAW Sustainability were appointed by Wilson & Partners to carry out SBEM and SAP analysis on the building, and to complete an overheating analysis of the new build units to ensure that the design mitigated the risk of summertime overheating.

Sheep Lane, Hackney
The development comprises three storeys of commercial space, including a basement, with 40 residential units over five storeys above. The commercial areas of the building are being delivered as shell and core.
There is a target rating for the building of Excellent and JAW Sustainability were appointed by Aitch Group to provide BREEAM assessment services and Part L compliance work to ensure that the requirements are delivered. We provided a construction stage energy strategy analysis including renewable energy feasibility and continue to provide BREEAM assessment and support. The project has just started on site.
