Plastic Free September
JAW are going plastic free for September!
In one of our earlier blogs (You haven’t read it? Check it out here) we talked about the detrimental impacts of single use plastic and this got us thinking about the amount of plastic that we put in the bin… more than we should was our conclusion!
So, this September we are going to make a conscious effort to reduce (and hopefully eliminate) the amount of plastic we send to landfill, and we want you to join us!
Going plastic free is all about making small changes in your life which will have a big positive impact on the environment. Here are a few things to think about to help you get started on your plastic free quest:
When during your day do you use plastic? And how could you cut down on these?
Get your kit ready: dig out your canvas shopping bag, your reusable water bottle, your re-usable coffee cup and your cutlery.
Plan your weekly food shop, what little changes can you make to cut down on plastics?
Over the next month we will be posting little tips for how you can cut down on single use plastics so keep an eye on our blog, Twitter and Instagram accounts. We would also love to hear how you are getting on so please don’t hesitate to tweet / tag us in your posts!
