Jacob Barker-Frost
Senior Sustainability Consultant
Jacob is a multi-disciplinary senior sustainability consultant. Having started his path into sustainability early on in his career by graduating at the university of Nottingham with a master in environmental design and bachelors in architecture. He initially pursued a career as an architect, until he realised his passion and unique skill set for sustainable building design, regularly being outspoken and passionate about creating better buildings for the future.
Since transitioning to a full-time sustainability consultant, he has worked in several specialisms developing a strong skill set in Energy Modeling, Circular Economy, Life Cycle Carbon assessments, Building Fabric Design, Day Light Analysis and having a deep knowledge of both MEP and Architectural design. This has made him a holistic consultant with the ability to balance expectations, financial restraints and Sustainable ambitions.
At JAW, Jacob is a lead member of the Building Physics team working to establish and maintain innovative efficient processes through the implementation of Dynamic Thermal modeling policies, in order to provide high quality assessment for Decarbonization strategies, method to mitigate Overheating, Whole building Operational Energy analysis and Daylight Assessments along with Thermal Comfort studies.
