Selin Demirci

Selin joined JAW Sustainability in late 2026 as the Team Leader of our Certifications team.

She is a sustainable design specialist and an architect by training. She developed an early interest in sustainability through a design competition during her studies. This experience highlighted the environmental challenges associated with the construction industry and inspired her to help shape more sustainable outcomes for the built environment.

With an early career foundation in building physics, delivering DSM modelling and LCA assessments, she went on to specialise in BREEAM and bespoke sustainability strategies to address a wider spectrum of sustainability objectives. She has since evolved into a sustainability leadership role, applying her technical expertise and multi-disciplinary team coordination to manage complex public-sector developments, driving successful project delivery and strategic sustainability outcomes.
